This is personal.
This is my story.

Dear Friends,

I'm not leading this project from a distance — I'm leading it from the middle of my own recovery. As a recent prostate cancer survivor, I know exactly what fear feels like, and I know how faith can carry you through the darkest moments. That experience shaped me, refined me, and ignited a purpose I can no longer ignore.

For the past two decades, I've built a career around leadership, community building, and inspiring people into action — from global brands to high-growth work across the cycling and outdoor world. My life's work has always centered on people, purpose, and elevating others.

Now, all of that experience comes together at exactly the right moment. I understand how to mobilize communities. I understand how to tell stories that move people. I understand how to build partnerships that last — and I understand what it means to fight for your life, and win.

This mission isn't a project for me. It's the next chapter of my survival story. It's a commitment to help other men find cancer earlier, fight it stronger, and never walk alone.

This is why Ricky. This is why now. This is why Faith Over Fear exists.

Why now matters.

🔇

Men are avoiding screenings

Silence and stigma are keeping men away from potentially life-saving early detection appointments.

💔

Families are losing loved ones too soon

Late-stage diagnoses are largely preventable. Awareness is the difference between early and too late.

🙏

Survivors need a voice of hope

Men in treatment need community, not just medicine. They need someone who has walked through it.

⛰️

The climb happens in real time

This isn't a retrospective. The mission is burning hot and the platform is set — right now.

Four pillars.
One unified movement.

Faith Over Fear is a bold initiative to raise $50,000, climb Kilimanjaro in May 2027, and turn a physical expedition into a global call to action for prostate cancer awareness.

01

Create Awareness

Break the silence around men's health and empower men to seek early detection. This message reaches churches, communities, workplaces, and national platforms — anywhere people gather.

02

Raise Funds for Research

Our Hope Fund of $40,000 goes directly to a dedicated prostate cancer research organization, accelerating breakthrough treatments and giving families real hope for the future.

03

Build Community

This climb is not just for athletes — it's for survivors, families, friends, and anyone who wants to fight back. A movement where people lock arms and climb in honor of those fighting today.

04

Strengthen Faith

Faith gives us strength, courage, and resilience — science gives us the tools to heal. Together, they become unstoppable. This mission invites faith communities to stand boldly for men's health.

The 7-Day
Climb Journey

Each day on Kilimanjaro mirrors the emotional and spiritual path of the cancer journey — from fear to healing, from struggle to hope.

1
Day One

Diagnosis — Facing Fear

The climb begins with uncertainty, just like hearing the words "We found something." It's the shock, the fear, and the courage to face the truth.

2
Day Two

Decision — Choosing Faith

Patients must choose a plan and trust their doctors. Climbers commit the same way — stepping forward in faith, knowing challenges lie ahead.

3
Day Three

Treatment — Persevering Through Pain

The hardest stretch. Fatigue, discomfort, and mental battles mirror the weight of treatment. Strength is built in the struggle.

4
Day Four

Support — Leaning on Community

No one climbs alone. Families, friends, churches, and medical teams carry us through the hardest moments. Their support keeps us moving.

5
Day Five

Healing — Celebrating Progress

A turning point. As the climb rises above the clouds, healing brings renewed strength, gratitude, and hope for what lies ahead.

6
Day Six

Purpose — Turning Pain Into Advocacy

Survivors and supporters climb with intention. Their stories become fuel — transforming personal pain into purposeful awareness for others.

7
Day Seven — The Summit

Proof That Faith and Awareness Save Lives

Reaching the top symbolizes victory, survival, and the combined impact of faith, community, research, and early detection. The summit is a statement: we rise higher when we climb together.
